MAURICE CLARKE 1912 – 2009

Sadly, we have to report the death of Maurice, long time TODS’s Member. An Actor, Committee Member, for quite some time Treasurer and then Vice- President. Whilst he was still active he made a major contribution to the society.

He began as a boy actor in Bromley and was for many years with Hayes Players. He and Hilda retired to Tenterden in 1972/3 and immediately became involved in TODS. For the last several years he has lived in a nursing home in Staplehurst. Our thoughts go to his sons ,Graham and Tony and their families.

The Funeral was at Charing Crematorium on Wed 18 Oct.

TODS CHRISTMAS PARTY

12th December 2009

 

A Christmas party was held at the Tenterden Town Hall on Saturday 12th December.  The evening was hosted by Barry Thomas, the food organised by Michael, Angela, Fiona & Gillian.

 

We were entertained by offerings from most of the assembled members.  There was music, monologue, humorous sketches and even a one-act play.
